This display contains Flugora lanernaria, enclosed in an oval, glass top shadowbox mount. Also known as the Peanut-head Lanternfly and the Alagator Bug, this species has many interesting myths and legends behind it. One such myth states that if a man is bitten by such a bug, he must have sex with a woman within 4 hours or will surely die!
